Italienischer Abend

On Thursday I went to a cultural meeting event. I was generously invited by Tanja Reißer (she's ifa 2013 holder, as like me) to attend the event which they hold about every 2 weeks. This time it was an Italian evening 'Italienischer Abend' organized by Jugendwerk der AWO Württemberg e.V.-Active Culture. Their facebook page is here.

I was anxious to attend such event to meet new people and break my daily routine. I met Tanja and she told me little bit about their organization and introduced me to other Jugenwerk staff. It was lovely to get to know all of them.

The event was about Italia for sure, an Italian girl did the presentation and the COOKING ^_^

Her name is Michela, she did a swift lovely funny presentation about Italia and told us a little about her hometown.
We watched some videos about Italia. I liked this one pretty much, watch please :)

We were about 25 person, not sure, from everywhere. I talked with people from Italy, Poland, Germany (of course :P), Slovakia, Georgia Turkey, Czech and others I had no chance to talk with them personally. The event is like meeting for people to know each other from different countries. The official language of the state event :D was English, though as soon we started eating, German was infiltrating slowly till it took control of the event speech :D

In such situation you feel really lucky to understand some German ;)

Michela cooked three different dishes of Lasagne, the desert was Tiramisu ^___^

I've never eat real Italian meal before (real means to me: made by Italian) and Michela is an excellent cooker. Each dish was better than the other .. Danke schön Michela!

Here are some pictures:

Lazaniaaaaaaa :) :)
Michela on the right giving good for the guests, Sandra next to her and Tanja back there
All dishes were vegetarian, tough were so delicious!! I'd be a vegetarian if all taste like this!

Other guests
I'll go to the next even for sure

Wochenende

FINALLY WEEKEND 'Wochenende' .. I'm almost wailing for it!

This week was too hard indeed. I was timely pressed by my German language course. I had no time to post anything new here. Now I can do, but I don't know what to write about!
I'll simply talk about my second week in Stuttgart and share some pictures about City of Stuttgart :)

Das Erstes:
Ragnar Müller new book
Nowadays in Pharos, Ragnar is teaching me about internet searching and the specialized academic searching. It's important long subject I'll do my write to post pretty professional post about it. It was nice coincidence that Ragnar's new book about this subject, was published this week also.
His new book title (in German for sure :P) is: Recherche 2.0: Finden und Weiterverarbeiten in Studium und Beruf.
It means more or less: Search 2.0: Finding and Processing in Study and Career.

I feel really proud to be taught by the author himself, by Ragnar. Toll!

Das Zweites:
Last Sunday I had a chance to hang out in the city of Stuttgart. It was sunny beautiful autumnal day, perfect for walking 'Spazierengehen'.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in this photographic tour ^_^

View from my apartment balcony

I live in Karlshöhe. It's small hill near Stuttgart center. There is a beautiful forest park 'Parkwald' just about 100 meter from my apartment.. so i started my walk passing by it :)

Going up the park of Karlshöhe

I met this (cat!) twice that day
Actually I'm not sure it's cat, because it was jumping and not walking! If you know better, please tell me!

In the middle of Karlshöhe Parkwald
It's autumn, wonderful color all around..WOOOW
This road leads to Mörikestaraße
Last picture before leaving the park
Then I headed to the central station 'Die Hauptbahnhof' of Stuttgart to take pictures. I wanted to go up the station tower or the Mercedes-Benz tower like Anna said :P

The tower of Stuttgart main station is 56 meters high
Königsraße (King St.) is the main street in Stuttgart center.. I can say it's 'Stuttgart Wall street!'
Back there you can see the 216 meters high Fernsehturm Stuttgart (TV-tower). They're very proud of it here in Stuttgart.
View from the Mercedes-Benz tower hahahah
Mercedes-Benz start closely is not thaaaaat beautiful!

Then I just walked in the nearby big park, the Schlossgarten (Palace garden), named like that because it was garden for the New Palace 'das Neue Schloss' of Wüttembeg kings.

Warning!
Be ready to some beautiful views :D :D

The new palace houses now the ministries of the state government.
I KNEW this game, we play it in Yemen too, but with stones! I don't know the name in German!
That is Königsbau, it's like a big mall now.
That's Jubilee Column in the  Palace Square 'Schlossplatz' in front of the New Palace
FINALLY, I worked hard to catch this close view for the Stuttgart TV- Tower, from somewhere near where I live

I hope you enjoyed all.. this post needed about 4 hours to be done! I remember now why I lost my writing interest long time ago. I was spending too much time to make my posts just perfect. This is too much valuable time I can't give only in weekend... sorry for the fewer posts!

I wish you all good happy weekend everywhere!

Liebesgrüße aus Stuttgart
